We entered again the studio in the early months of 2012 to cut our 3rd CD, titled “Godforsaken Land”.
The story of this cd was really troubled; our original idea was to do everything in the USA, included the recording but, after several unlucky events that forced us to cancel the recording two times, with a big loss of money, we decided to record the tracks, as for the former one, at Luca Balboni’s studio because of his long experience in recording and playing Rock’n Roll and Rockabilly music.
The thing that makes this CD totally different from our former recordings and also from the recordings of most of the Italian Rockabilly Bands, is that it was mixed and mastered in the USA.
The mixing of the CD was done by Rick Miller, guitar player and singer of the band called “Southern Culture on the Skids” in his studio, the “Kudzu Ranch Recording” located in Chapel Hill in North Carolina.
The mastering was done by Dave Harris at the “Studio B Mastering” in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dave is the man that is behind the sound of bands like Reverend Horton Heat, Hank Williams III, Southern Culture on the Skids, Skinny Jim and many others.
The CD was produced by the band and by Part Records and is composed by 15 songs, mostly original compositions of the band.
During the working of the cd, a good friend of us, Andy “Fitti” Fittkau, passed away and we decided to dedicate our CD to him and to the loving memories of the good times spent together.
